### What is 4P?

4P = “on-chain” emailing & messaging super application tailored for human & agent interactions and perfectly aligned with decentralization fundamentals.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Abstract:** In the ever-evolving landscape of communication, pivotal technologies have shaped how humans connect. Brought by the invention of electricity the Telegraph once symbolized the reach of reliable global correspondence, while the invention of the microprocessors and the internet transformed the way we interact and communicate at scale. Today, blockchain technology propels us into a new era of secure, non-custodial, permissionless, and decentralized digital communication. Furthermore, it offers unparalleled data ownership, safeguarded by the distributed nature of blockchain, ensuring uninterrupted access and preserving the integrity of your conversations. Following the invention of electricity, microprocessors, and the internet, blockchain technology can also be referred to as the fourth pillar of technology innovation, hence The 4thPillar project or short 4P.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# FAQ

## Basics

### 1. What is 4thPillar?

In short, 4thPillar or short 4P is the email and chat for Web3. 4P super app allows crypto wallet owners (humans or agents) to email and message each other, while remaining in complete control over their data and communication.

### 2. Why is on-chain communication important?

In 4P, each email or message is an L1/L2 transaction, while larger files are stored on decentralized storage. This model enables true decentralized communication that is non-custodial, permissionless, immutable, and resistant to Web2 data mining, contrasting sharply with traditional off-chain centralized communication.

### 3. What is the difference between legacy Web2 communication platforms and 4P Super App?

Legacy email applications use centralized databases and often lack E2E encryption. Users pay with their data, which is mined by the app. This Web2 model leads to data ownership loss, potential de-platforming, identity theft, spam, spoofing, and privacy loss.

The 4P Super App is a decentralized Web3 application with no centralized database, giving users full control over their data. Messages are exchanged on-chain, with each message as a L1/L2 transaction. The 4P App uses an Encryption Extension for self-custodial encryption, preventing Web2 issues like data mining, ownership loss, and de-platforming. It ensures secure, permissionless, immutable, self-custodial P2P on-chain communication.

### 4. Who can use it?

The app has permissionless access so anyone can use it. Users, humans or agents connect their MetaMask, Coinbase or Wallet Connect-supported wallets and access the world of on-chain communication within the polished Web3 UI.

### 5. What is the cost of using 4P Email & Messaging?

Parallel to the underlying L1/L2 transaction gas cost, the service fees (i.e. protocol fees) are also settled on the smart contract level and is applicable for every email or message transaction. Total user cost equals the sum of the L1/L2 transaction gas and the service fees. Both the gas and service fees converge and manifest as one end-user communication transaction fee. [Read more.](https://docs.the4thpillar.io/dapps-and-clients/fees-and-revenue-model)

## Technical

### 6. How does it work?

The message exchange happens on-chain as one short message represents one L1/L2 blockchain transaction. As the emailing process is data heavier, lite encrypted JSON objects are created to hold 4P email metadata. The link to this metadata and checksum is recorded on the chain as a blockchain transaction. So again, the core primitive described by the formula below applies;

* 💡1 email/message = 1 L1/L2-TX

### 7. Which blockchain can I use to connect to 4P?

4P is supporting Polygon and Sonic blockchains, but is adding deployments in a planned timeframe.&#x20;

### 8. How can I connect an agent?

Developers must set 4P dApp ID during the agent deployment to enable interactions within the 4P dApp. Once activated, agent enjoys the same privileges as any human user.&#x20;

### 8. Is Firefox browser supported?

The 4P Super App can be accessed with any modern browser that supports extensions. For end-to-end encryption, it uses the Encryptor Extension, which is currently unavailable for Firefox but works with all Chromium-based browsers like Google Chrome, Brave, Opera, Microsoft Edge, and others that support Chrome Extensions.

### 9. Where is my data stored?

Your emails and attachments are encrypted and stored on both decentralized storage and your local device, while encrypted messaging data is stored on-chain.

## User Experience & Features

### 10. Can I send images, videos and attachments through 4P?

Yes, you can send any type of data file as an email attachment through 4P. Data and media file sharing via 4P messaging will be added in the future. In the Pro version, there is no limit to email attachment size or data sharing within chats; the user's PX sNFT determines storage availability (e.g., 100MB, 1GB, 10GB, 20GB). The Basic version has a 20MB limit.

### 11. What is the PX sNFT and do I need it?

PX sNFTs (PollinationX Decentralized Storage NFTs) let users mint self-custodial storage units with specific capacities (e.g., 100MB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB, 100GB) for upload bandwidth. PollinationX offers the first 100MB sNFT of storage for free. Users can upgrade their storage with larger PX sNFTs. Unlike centralized storage, which often mines and sells user data for "free" plans, PX sNFTs ensure your data remains private. If you're only using text messaging without data or media file exchanges, PX sNFTs are not needed.

### 12. Why do I need to install the Encryptor Extension into my browser?

Encryptor Extension adds the communication end-to-end encryption layer within 4P Super App that is currently not supported in major wallets. It enables user encryption self-custody not available before in any digital communication.

### 13. How do I enable Pro version?

4P Pro unlocks advanced email and chat features like the send email tab, email whitelisting, and chat group creation. It is automatically enabled when your wallet has 10,000 Four Tokens. The tokens must be native to the blockchain you're using. For example, if you use Fantom Opera, you need Four Tokens native to Fantom Opera.

### 14. Can I create a group chat in 4P?

Yes, Pro users can create encrypted on-chain group chats. They can create unlimited group chats with any number of participants and manage groups by adding or removing member wallet addresses.

### 15. How does Email address whitelisting work?

Email address whitelisting is a smart-contract feature that allows you to whitelist specific wallet addresses, giving them permission to contact you. This provides an ultimate filter and true security tool. It is available in the 4P Pro version.

Explanation:&#x20;

* Model: Web2 legacy communication platforms may currently excel in speed and ease of access, but its centralized model has not proven reliable and sustainable in the long run. 4P sources its security from underlying decentralized blockchain networks enabling communication permissionless, immutability and self-custody, while preventing data ownership loss.
* Decentralized Storage: Existing legacy communication platforms use centralized databases which are vulnerable to potential security breaches, data loss, and single points of failure. 4P utilises decentralized storage instead of a centralised database, which empowers users with data self-custody and prevents security breaches.
* Self-Custodial E2E Encryption: End-to-end encryption has also become present within legacy communication platforms. The only problem is that users don't control the encryption keys. By owning encryption keys, 4P enables users to take control over their communication encryption in a true self-custodial way.
* Permissionless Access: In comparison to permisioned legacy communication applications, 4P allows users to onboard permissionally without any approvals.
* Immutable Communication: Due to its unique 1 email/message = 1 L1/L2 transaction model, the 4P emails and messages are immutable, enhancing communication transparency and trust.&#x20;
* Communication & Data Portability: Compared to siloed legacy communication applications, the emails, messages and accompanying data within the 4P system are portable. 4P application acts only as a conduit enabling communication interaction.
* Self-Custodial Open-source Application: Existing legacy communication applications are custodial by nature, meaning they control, manage and own your communication data while granting access permissions and managing communication encryption keys. As a complete opposite, the 4P application works in a true self-custodial way. Communication is executed on public blockchains where only users can access and decrypt it using their private keys. In the case of the 4P downtime, anyone can spin up and run their open-source app client and access their email or chat communication data.
* dID Self-Custody: Legacy communication applications own user handles, which in fact act as user digital identity. In the case of 4P, the user wallet acts as dID, making digital identity truly self-custodial and within the user's control.
* No Data-Ownership Loss: By utilising self-custodial decentralized storage NFTs, 4P enables users to retain data ownership, ensuring they retain full control over their communication data. Access to communication data is possible only with the user's private key!
* Data Mining: Data mining has become the core revenue driver behind existing legacy communication platforms. Due to the 4P's decentralized and self-custodial design, the users are in complete control over their data. No data ownership is lost or data mined in the process.&#x20;
* De-platforming Resistant Protocol: Due to its permissioned model, many de-platforming use cases are happening in legacy communication applications. The modular, self-custodial design and communication data portability excludes de-platforming as a concept.

Explanation:

* Decentralization Coefficient: Compared to many Web3 competitors, 4P has no long roadmap to decentralization, nor does it take any shortcuts. Due to its unique on-chain “1 email/message = 1 L1/L2 transaction” model 4Ps decentralization coefficient is directly correlated to the decentralization of the underlying public blockchain network.&#x20;
* W2W Login: In most cases, users don't own their email address, which is owned by the email platform. On the other hand, users do own their wallet address, which enables permissionless 4P login access with no phone number required.
* Public On-Chain Communication: In the case of 4P, one email or message is represented as one L1 or L2 transaction, while data files and bigger objects are stored on decentralized storage. This model enables "true" decentralized communication that is non-custodial, permissionless, immutable, and Web2 data mining-resistant therefore the complete opposite of the legacy off-chain centralized communication that we use every day.&#x20;
* Group Chat: 4P enables the creation of chat groups where messages in the form of L1/L2 transactions are executed via public blockchains. Depending on the E2E encryption utilisation the groups can be private or public.
* Self-Custodial E2E Encryption: Encryptor Extension adds the communication end-to-end encryption layer within 4P Super App currently unsupported in major wallets. It enables user encryption self-custody not available before in any digital communication.&#x20;
* E2E Group Chat E2E Encryption: Developing the framework for on-chain end-to-end encryption group messaging was a challenge. Solved by the OCC SDK by the random generation of the secret key, that is used to encrypt/decrypt messages. The secret key is distributed to all group members and separately encrypted with AES over the ECDH key agreement protocol.
* Immutable Communication: Due to its unique 1 email/message = 1 L1/L2 transaction model, the 4P emails and messages are immutable, enhancing communication transparency and trust.&#x20;
* Communication & Data Portability: Compared to siloed communication applications, the emails, messages and accompanying data within the 4P system are portable. 4P application acts only as a conduit enabling communication interaction.
* Self-Custodial Open-source Application: Communication is executed on public blockchains where only users can access it and decrypt it using their private keys. In the case of the 4P downtime, anyone can spin up their open-source dMail or dChat application and access their communication data.
* Decentralized Storage: 4P utilises self-custodial decentralized storage via PollinationX. Programmed with predetermined storage capacity, the PollinationX Storage NFT or short PX sNFT represents the decentralized storage unit (e.g. 100MB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB, 100GB) and enables users to mint the storage according to specific needs in a true self-custodial manner.&#x20;
* Multi-Chain: 4P multi-chain support allows it to be usable across various public EVM blockchains, providing flexibility and choice.
* Data Mining: Data mining has become the core revenue driver behind many communication platforms. Due to the 4P's decentralized and self-custodial design, the users are in complete control over their data. No data ownership is lost or data mined in the process.&#x20;
* De-platforming Resistant Protocol: The modular, self-custodial design and communication data portability excludes de-platforming as a concept.
* White-Label: The 4P application is open-source so anyone can fork it. It will also be available as plug & play white label shortly.

# Tokenomics

Discover Four Token, a multi-chain asset, a technical component, and an incentive vehicle. Learn how Four Token plays a vital part in the future of Web3 Communication.

## Distribution

The distribution of tokens in a Web3 project is crucial for ensuring a fair and balanced ecosystem. Four Token distribution is designed to allocate tokens to various actors within the ecosystem, including the project’s team, developers, partners, and community members. This allocation ensures that all parties involved in the project’s development and growth have a vested interest in its success.&#x20;

## Supply

The total supply of Four Tokens is also an important aspect of its tokenomics. A well-defined token supply ensures that the token’s value remains stable and predictable over time. $FOUR’s supply is capped, meaning there is a fixed number of tokens (i.e. 400.000.000) that will ever be created, ensuring the token's deflationary nature and scarcity.&#x20;

| \*\*\*\*          | Total Supply | Circulating Supply | DEX Liquidity | Actual Supply   |
| ----------------- | ------------ | ------------------ | ------------- | --------------- |
| Nr. of Tokens     | 400.000.000  | 206,684,115        | 30.700.000    | **175.984.000** |
| % of Total Supply | 100          | 51                 | 7.5           | 44              |

\*\**Numbers are close approximations, the circulating supply was sourced from CoinGecko on August 1st, 2023.* *Actual supply is a deduction of DEX liquidity from circulating supply.*

## Utility

Four Token is a technical and incentive component dedicated to; (1) RTA (i.e. right-to-access), and; (2) MTO (i.e. multiple-transfer option) models in the ecosystem of Web3 communication. Besides technical features, the Four Token acts as an incentive mechanism enabling the Grants model.

### Main Utility Features;

RTA (i.e. right-to-access); holding $FOUR will enable;

* Access to 4P Super Pro dApp Features;
* Access to $FOUR Governance Signalling;
* Access to a gated Discord community of developers and project core supporters.

MTO (i.e. multiple-transfer option); as a part of the `[Four]` token smart contract, the option acts as a settlement service that conserves blockchain network transactions and bundles signed multiple transactions together, and settles them on the blockchain as one transaction. The MTO is ideal for multiple token transfers such as airdrops.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**RTA** or right to access is in the concept stage and will be developed as the project progresses!

# Governance (TBA)

Four Token holders will have the option to access exclusive governance features.

## Empowering Dedicated Contributors

To ensure that signaling power is allocated to individuals truly dedicated to our project, we've integrated the system in a way that only Four Token holders can participate in governance. By signaling users express their long-term commitment and become eligible to influence project directions.

## Voting on Snapshot

{% hint style="warning" %}
Voting on SnapShot is not yet available!
{% endhint %}

Snapshot is a decentralized voting signalling system that allows ERC-20 Four Token holders to signal their preferences on 4P Project proposals but will at this stage not replace the governance structure. Voting on Snapshot is user-friendly and does not cost gas as the process is performed off-chain. 4P is using Snapshot to allow users to signal their preferences on the project proposals.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Snapshot votes are NOT binding, they allow Four Token holders to signal their preferences on 4P proposals.
{% endhint %}

4P uses the Snapshot platform to take a “snapshot” at a certain block. This snapshot dictates the voting power of each wallet, where 1 $FOUR = 1 vote. The platform weights votes by the amount of a given token a participating wallet address holds. Once a proposal reaches public referenda, token holders can vote on it using their own Four Tokens.

#### Voting Eligibility

“minBalance” of 4k ERC-20 Four Tokens are needed to contribute a vote Each voter may select a single choice to give his total voting power to

#### Strategie(s)

We use various voting strategies, for example, a “balance-of-with-min” strategy is used to check whether the participant has a minimum amount of tokens required to vote. “minBalance” of 4k ERC-20 $FOUR has been set, which equals the minimum balance required to vote on a proposal.

> Voting system: Single-choice voting, multichoice voting \
> Voting types: Signal check, grant proposal, implementation proposal, and other \
> Voting time frame: Start and end date specified

#### Snapshot Guide

This guide contains everything you need to start voting. In order to participate you will need:

> Min of 4k ERC-20 Four Tokens \
> A browser with Metamask installed

#### Voting process:&#x20;

> (1) visit: <https://vote.the4thpillar.io> (not yet available); \
> (2) connect your Metamask wallet (it should be the one where Four Tokens are stored); \
> (3) after reviewing the listed proposals, select your preferred option and click Vote.

### Intro to 4P Email

Based on the OCC Protocol v.1 `[Mail]` smart contract, OCC SDKs, and white-label framework, 4P App aims to be one of the first community-based integrators of this new on-chain communication technology offering truly advanced Web3-based email features.&#x20;

### Phases within the 4P Email;&#x20;

> (1) to enable end-to-end encryption, both sender and receiver need to install and run “[Encryptor Extension](/dapps-and-clients/encryptor-extension)”;\
> (2) email's are encrypted with AES while ECDH key agreement protocol is used for generating the secret key (i.e. used in AES encryption);\
> (3) all encrypted attachments are stored on decentralized storage via [PollinationX](https://wiki.pollinationx.io/);\
> (4) JSON metadata file is created that includes sender and recipient details, email subject, content, and attachment details (i.e. name, stored location, and checksum);\
> (5) JSON metadata file is encrypted with AES encryption and stored on decentralized storage via PollinationX;\
> (6) JSON metadata file URL and checksum are sent to L1 or L2 \[Mails] smart contract;\
> (7) after transaction finality, the receiver loads and decrypts a JSON metadata file and loads and decrypts all the attachments.

**Explainer:** Composed of; (1) subject; (2) content, and; (3) attachment, the dMail can be from a few kilobytes to gigabytes in size (i.e. attachment size is limited to a PX storage NFT size, the bigger the NFT, the bigger the storage availability).
{% endhint %}

### Intro to 4P Chat

Based on the OCC Protocol v.1 `[Chat]` smart contract, OCC SDKs, and white-label framework, 4P App aims to be one of the first community-based integrators of this new on-chain communication technology offering truly advanced Web3-based messaging features.&#x20;

### Phases within 4P Chat;&#x20;

> (1) to enable end-to-end encryption, both sender and receiver need to install and run “[Encryptor Extension](/dapps-and-clients/encryptor-extension)”;\
> (2) messages are encrypted with AES (i.e. Advanced Encryption Standard) while ECDH (i.e. Elliptic-Curve Diffie-Hellman) key agreement protocol is used for generating the secret key (i.e. used in AES encryption); \
> (3) all encrypted attachments are stored on decentralized storage via [PollinationX](https://wiki.pollinationx.io/); \
> (4) message data is sent to L1 or L2 \[Chat] smart contract, and; \
> (5) after transaction finality, the receiver decrypts message content.

### Wallet Setup, App Connection and Blockchain Choice <a href="#how-to-send-data-files-using-polygon-or-arbitrum-mainnets" id="how-to-send-data-files-using-polygon-or-arbitrum-mainnets"></a>

4P is a Web3-native app supporting [MetaMask](https://support.metamask.io/getting-started/getting-started-with-metamask/), [Coinbase](https://www.coinbase.com/learn/tips-and-tutorials/how-to-set-up-a-crypto-wallet), and Wallet Connect. We recommend beginners take the [MetaMask Web3 101](https://learn.metamask.io/overview) course before starting.

Since 4P services run on-chain, ensure your wallet has enough gas for setup and operations. Currently, 4P supports Polygon and Sonic, requiring POL or S gas tokens. Holding 10,000 Four tokens (Polygon, Sonic) in your wallet unlocks 4P Pro.&#x20;

4P is a multi-chain application. Users can choose between a number of supported EVM blockchains. We recommend browsing the [supported network list](https://docs.the4thpillar.io/dapps-and-clients/multi-chain-deployment) and choose blockchain most suited for your needs.

Steps:

* ⚙️ Install and login to a supported wallet
* 💰 Fund your wallet with gas&#x20;
* 🤝 Connect your wallet with [4P App](https://app.the4thpillar.io/) (app.the4thpillar.io)
* 🔗 Select blockchain

### Dashboard Setup

The 4P Dashboard is your mission control within the app. It lets you set up self-custodial communication encryption via the Encryptor Extension and manage decentralized storage with PX Storage NFTs.

The Encryptor Extension adds an encryption layer for email and messaging. A one-time on-chain transaction, requiring gas, saves the sender/recipient's public key.

Decentralized storage and bandwidth are used in communication. PX Storage NFTs, which can be minted as needed, enable self-custodial storage management. Bandwidth usage depends on the number of uploads to decentralized storage.

Pro membership, activated with a balance of 10,000 Four tokens, is required to enjoy the full benefits of the 4P app.\

### Sending and receiving on-chain emails <a href="#how-to-send-data-files-using-polygon-or-arbitrum-mainnets" id="how-to-send-data-files-using-polygon-or-arbitrum-mainnets"></a>

The 4P app empowers you to send and receive end-to-end encrypted emails, protecting against data mining, phishing, spoofing, spam, and identity theft. Both the sender and receiver must be on the same blockchain, as cross-chain emailing is not supported. While encryption is optional, we strongly encourage its use. On-chain communication incurs various [fees](https://docs.the4thpillar.io/dapps-and-clients/fees-and-revenue-model) throughout the process.

In the Basic plan, email attachments are limited to 20MB. The Pro plan has no attachment size limit, but it is constrained by the PX Storage NFT capacity. For example, if a user holds a 1GB NFT, they can send attachments up to 1GB.

4P Pro unlocks advanced email features like the Send Email tab. It also offers email whitelisting, allowing you to approve wallet addresses so only authorized accounts can send you emails.

Sending Email:

* ✉️ Access the "**Compose new**" page available within the Mail menu
* 📄 Fill out the email data form and add the attachments
* 🚀 Click the "**Send**" button and confirm the transaction with your wallet

Receiving Email:

* 📥 Access the "**Inbox**" page available within the Mail menu
* 📨 Review your emails
* ↩️ Reply if needed

Account Whitelisting:

* 👑 Access the "**Settings**" page available within the main menu
* 👑 Add accounts (wallets) by pasting them in the designated form
* 👑 "**Add Account**" and confirm the transaction with your wallet

### **Chat & Group Chat**

The 4P app lets you send end-to-end encrypted DMs and create on-chain group chats, fully controlled by users and resistant to data mining. Both sender and receiver must be on the same blockchain, as cross-chain messaging is not supported. On-chain messaging incurs various [fees](https://docs.the4thpillar.io/dapps-and-clients/fees-and-revenue-model). 4P Pro unlocks advanced features like creating chat groups.

Steps:

* 💬 Access the "**Chat**" page available within the main menu
* ➕ Add the person to your conversation by clicking plus (+) and pasting his or her wallet address to the designated field
* ✏️ Type the message, confirm it by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard and confirm the transaction with your wallet

Creating Group Chat:

* 👑 Click on the plus (+) within the "**Chat**" page
* 👑 Select the **"Group"** option
* 👑 Add group members by pasting their wallet addresses
* 👑 Mark / Unmark **"Only creator can add new members"** according to your specification
* 👑 Create Group and confirm the transaction with your wallet

# Encryptor Extension

An open-source, fully self-custodial Chrome Extension that enables E2E AES-256-GCM advance and highly secure encryption of on-chain communications by user-owned private keys.

The [Encryptor Extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/encryptor/feolajpinjjfikmmeknkdjbllbppojij?hl=en) enables E2EE (i.e. end-to-end encryption) by user-owned private keys. The secret key is produced by ECDH (i.e. Elliptic Curve Diffie Hellman) secret key exchange. The sender needs the Wallet Client B (i.e. receiver) public key to be recorded on the blockchain, while the secret key is calculated based on the private and public keys. Natively **AES-256-GCM** (i.e. Advanced Encryption Standard) is used for the email and messaging communication encryption algorithm. The Encryptor extension is open-source, fully self-custodial and enabled by choice.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Explainer:** The safety or security of AES increases with key length. Therefore, AES-256 is considered the safest or most secure AES algorithm because it has the longest key length, making it the most difficult to crack through brute force or cryptographic attacks. AES-256 GCM is among the top choices for secure encryption, offering a robust combination of confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity.
{% endhint %}

# Encryptor Setup User Guide

This is the Encryptor Extension setup manual page. Follow the steps for easier onboarding and access to all needed information.

### Encryptor Setup

Used to enable the Elliptic-Curve Diffie-Hellman key agreement protocol, the Encryptor Extension adds the Email & Messaging encryption layer currently not available in major Web3 wallets. It creates an elliptic curve key pair and computation of the shared secret key of the receiver/sender. The extension is fully self-custodial and enabled by choice, while its UI is simple and user-friendly.&#x20;

Steps:

* ⚙️ Download, Install the [Encryptor Extension](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/encryptor/feolajpinjjfikmmeknkdjbllbppojij?authuser=3\&hl=en-GB) from the Google Chrome Store
* 🔧 Set your Encryptor password and save your seed words or restore your previous Encryptor installation by pasting restore seed word.

Complete your in-app Encryptor Extension registration by creating a transaction on the smart contract. This step is essential to activate the extension’s full capabilities and adds its visibility on the blockchain making the connection between the sender & recipient possible.

Register the Encryptor:

* ⛓️ "**Register Encryptor**" and confirm the transaction with your wallet

The "Send message" gas limit is based on the length of the message. The "Create Group" gas limit depends on the number of members in the group and the encryption variable. Table calculation is based on a two-member encrypted group. References to USD prices are made for approximate fiat value illustration purposes only.
{% endhint %}

### Fee Model

Parallel to the underlying L1/L2 transaction gas cost, the service fees (i.e. protocol fees) are also settled on the smart contract level and is applicable for every email or message transaction. Total user cost equals the sum of the L1/L2 transaction gas and the service fees. Both the gas and service fees converge and manifest as one end-user communication transaction fee.

<figure><img src="https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2F8I7GkLI0RZTtMGnnTjol%2F4P-FEES-24.png?alt=media&amp;token=97129cff-5aed-4e26-8286-59801450e8bf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

> **(1)** L1/L2 transaction gas cost; \
> **(2)** The protocol fees equals the sum of base-fee and dApp-owner-fee (i.e. 4P project). \
> **(2.1)** The base-fee is set generally by the OCC Protocol deployer as a constant within \[Mails] and \[Chat] smart contracts and can be adjusted based on the specific dApp. The protocol-fee is defined with $ value approximation (e.g. 0 to \~0.0075$ POL... ≡). \
> **(2.2)** The dApp-owner-fee is set by the dApp owner (i.e. 4P) independently based on the dApp economic model. It is defined by the $ value approximation (e.g. \~0.0075$ POL... ≡ for the email and \~0.0025$ POL...≡ for the message).&#x20;

When sending BEP-20 FOUR from BSC to Ethereum, the cross-blockchain bridge is needed. The smart contract puts in a BEP-20 FOUR burn request to the Bridge, and the ERC-20 FOUR are released from the reserves. This process ensures that the total and circulating token supply don’t change.

### What do you need?

1. Amount of FOUR tokens that you want to bridge&#x20;
2. ETH for gas (approximately 0,025 ETH)&#x20;
3. BNB for gas&#x20;
4. xDAI for gas (approximately 1 xDAI converted into 1 xDAI)&#x20;
5. MetaMask wallet
6. Bscscan FOUR token smart contract access: <https://bscscan.com/token/0xd882739fca9cbae00f3821c4c65189e2d7e26147#writeProxyContract>
7. Gnosis Bridge: <https://bridge.gnosischain.com/>

### Connecting BSC and Gnosis networks in MetaMask

Add the ability for MetaMask to interact with Gnosis. If needed add a Custom RPC for each additional chain as shown below.

Gnosis chain:

> **Network Name**: Gnosis Chain\
> **New RPC URL**:[ ](https://rpc.xdaichain.com/)<https://rpc.gnosischain.com>\
> **Chain ID**: 100\
> **Symbol**: xDAI\
> **Block Explorer URL**:[ ](https://blockscout.com/poa/xdai)<https://gnosisscan.io>

### Bridging process

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Warning:** It is not recommended to do transactions with small amounts on Ethereum. It’s too expensive.
{% endhint %}

### Trade ETH for xDAI on Ethereum

1. Choose how to buy xDAI for a fee (<https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/xdai>)
2. You will need xDAI on Gnosis chain
3. You will need 1 xDAI to complete the bridge transformation.

### Sending FOUR over the Bscscan smart contracts to the Gnosis chain:

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Explainer:** To bridge the BEP-20 FOUR tokens to its native ERC-20 FOUR tokens, Gnosis chain is used as a middle stop. There are two options how to send the BEP-20 FOUR tokens to the Gnosis Chain. One way is to interact directly with the Bscscan smart contract like shown in the instructions (i.e. 1 to 10). To simplify this process a automated [BNB to Gnosis bridge service](https://four-token-relay.vercel.app) was developed by the community contributors. Please use the service at your own discretion, the 4P project does not guarantee its performance!
{% endhint %}

1. Click on the link: <https://bscscan.com/token/0xd882739fca9cbae00f3821c4c65189e2d7e26147#writeProxyContract>
2. Connect your WEB3 wallet and approve
3. Click on the first line for approve
4. Go over to a (<https://eth-converter.com/>) to get the right number of Wei. Never mind if there is ETH, just put the number of FOUR you wanna bridge (100 in our case) and copy the number of Wei
5. Return to Bscscan and paste the number of Wei under the \_value. You will also need to copy/paste this address 0xF0b456250DC9990662a6F25808cC74A6d1131Ea9 under the line: \_to (address)
6. Click Write and put your custom cap for spending (100 in our case) and Approve
7. Check your transaction
8. Now go to the address and again connect it to your WEB3 wallet: <https://bscscan.com/address/0xf0b456250dc9990662a6f25808cc74a6d1131ea9#writeProxyContract>&#x20;
9. Scroll down to number 13. To relay FOUR tokens click on it
10. Now you will need to paste this address under the token (address): 0xd882739Fca9CBAE00F3821c4c65189E2D7e26147 and under the \_value the same amount of WEI as before, then again confirm and check the transaction

# Ethereum to Fantom Bridge Manual

Bridging FOUR Token from ETH to Fantom ChainPort has bridged 4thPillar’s token FOUR from Ethereum to Fantom, expanding its accessibility across multiple chains. FOUR token is now available on SpookySwap, as well as Uniswap v2 & v3 for Ethereum and other DEXs.

* FOUR ETH Contract Address: 0x4730fb1463a6f1f44aeb45f6c5c422427f37f4d0
* FOUR Fantom Contract Address: 0x9688d9e0041Cc825C2F353DeEE6A7e20eBb80f74

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** It's important to note that while FOUR token is available on various chains, such as Solana & BNB, ChainPort only facilitates bridging FOUR from Ethereum to Fantom.
{% endhint %}

### How to Bridge FOUR from Ethereum to Fantom in 3 Steps?

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to bridge FOUR tokens from Ethereum to Fantom. By changing the source and target chains, token holders can also bridge FOUR in the opposite route, from Fantom to Ethereum.&#x20;

### Step 1 - Connect Your Wallet&#x20;

Go to [ChainPort's bridge](https://app.chainport.io/) (<https://app.chainport.io/>) and connect your wallet. ChainPort supports Ledger, Trezor, Coinbase Wallet, Wallet Connect, and Metamask wallets. Select the wallet with the Ethereum-based FOUR tokens you wish to bridge to Fantom.

<figure><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/oR-f2NHndLjXHY2okU3iJZGcaNqkEulSOVx43YWeDeKzUu7ufvhEBGTtKrKGZcfM_C-m4a14bh5grDJ6oSWxYA4bhDS1wJqBT9XGzW_UYlRHPNx6JnSmeIQBziUqeowknle0NuzASSWKEpN9ZK5FlUk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 2 - Select the Chains & Token&#x20;

In the drop-down menu, select the source blockchain and the target blockchain. In our case, the source chain is Ethereum, and the target chain is Base. Select FOUR as the token you wish to bridge from the menu.

<figure><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/4OOMHCeoWjusiVQsxAWrMF9Z_jLfPTgui8nFd6674z-G9GQFihMIm5kitN2CWjN9VCzECFxhVZiuchlShrvm9quPTUsbEehN6xr28j2z1RyZxvnEyjcYjSOyN8twARrBLim5jagWIXJaUMJEfec_9I4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 3 - Confirm Tx & Get Tokens&#x20;

Review all related information, including gas fees and the token, before confirming the transaction. Once you have confirmed all details, approve the transaction and wait a few minutes for it to be processed. Afterward, your FOUR tokens have been successfully bridged from Ethereum to Fantom.

# Ethereum to Polygon Bridge Manual

### ERC-20 FOUR to Polygon PoS FOUR Bridge Manual

As FOUR token Multiverse is expanding, it is important to know how to use it. The first step is always the bridge. FOUR tokens have been integrated into the official Ethereum — Polygon cross-chain bridge, so ERC-20 FOUR token holders can now easily migrate between two universes.

{% embed url="<https://portal.polygon.technology/bridge>" %}

### Bridging ERC-20 FOUR tokens to Polygon

Using a scalability solution is almost a must nowadays, where interacting with contracts in the Ethereum can be very costly from a gas perspective. With that in mind, we extend FOUR token multiverses in Polygon. If you have tokens in Ethereum you can bridge them to Polygon PoS.

Below we’ll present a step-by-step guide on how to do it. The process consists of three parts:

1. Connect Polygon PoS in Metamask
2. Make sure you have MATIC tokens to cover gas costs
3. Bridge your tokens to Polygon.

### Connecting Polygon in MetaMask and bridging your tokens

In order to add the Polygon Network to your MetaMask, follow this step:

1. Open your MetaMask
2. Click on the Networks section
3. Once the Networks list shows up, click on “Custom RPC”
4. Add the following information:

> **Network Name**: Polygon Mainnet\
> **New RPC URL**: <https://polygon-rpc.com\\>
> **Chain ID**: 137\
> **Currency Symbol** (optional): MATIC\
> **Block Explorer URL** (optional): <https://polygonscan.com/>

![](https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2FSavALWbZ10SKBTiiQ6Qt%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=82893f62-5fed-4e92-988c-e01bef86764c) ![](https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2FK5EdmHTb1csXcDdqObwB%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=bce3b611-8fb3-4239-9107-26c9aa74977b) ![](https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2FKOfK4EiM7w5m2ZxkgqdE%2F1.PNG?alt=media\&token=bb901edc-3c40-40d7-82ba-18f50b330dc0)

### Interacting with Protocols in Polygon

To use the protocols in Polygon, it is necessary that you:

1. Have MATIC tokens to pay for the gas costs (which at the moment are waaaaay cheaper when compared to the gas costs in the Ethereum main net)
2. Bridge your tokens from Ethereum main net to Polygon

### Getting MATIC tokens

Just like ETH is required to pay for the gas costs of any contract interaction in the Ethereum network, MATIC is needed in Polygon network.

{% hint style="success" %}
**You can get MATIC tokens in any DEX available in the Ethereum (such as at @SushiSwap, @Uniswap, or @1inch, for example) and then bridge the tokens to Polygon. Check the below instruction for FOUR tokens you can use the same steps to bridge MATIC token to Polygon.**
{% endhint %}

### Bridging tokens from Ethereum to Polygon

Users can bring tokens from the Ethereum to Polygon through Polygon’s official bridge or through other protocols that provide this same service, such as Zapper.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note: Do not forget that MATIC tokens are necessary to interact with any contract in Polygon.**
{% endhint %}

So let’s go through a step-by-step here by using the official bridge.

1. Go to <https://portal.polygon.technology/bridge> and connect your wallet.

<figure><img src="https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2FjtcdQLTNWfJXIHu56rWS%2F2.PNG?alt=media&amp;token=0c526622-c234-41ca-8b6e-faa1903b4048" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Once the wallet is connected, type FOUR tokens in the search field.

<figure><img src="https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2FakzJyWVoUCmH3hsgRzV3%2FPolybridge.PNG?alt=media&amp;token=b786ae8a-8716-4455-9d91-1885db854aa5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Type the desired amount of FOUR tokens, click 'Bridge FOUR to Polygon POS' (don't choose Polygon zkEVM). You will get notice.
4. Confirm the spending cap of bridged tokens in Metamask - if you wanna bridge 100, type 100.

<div><figure><img src="https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2FvWvzidtjDcTnUdt32Rt8%2F3-v2.png?alt=media&amp;token=d8f41a53-21f5-40d7-a08b-a64356c9790a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="https://2405002342-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FBO93nSbwA74S7hdIiOf0%2Fuploads%2F7e4TXE3tgjeA5pFAfHBO%2F4-v2.png?alt=media&amp;token=6118ac62-824b-4de7-8ae3-a1ac3bf282fd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

# Ethereum to Solana Bridge Manual

The Solana Wormhole bridge enables ERC-20 FOUR to bridge to SPL FOUR available on the Solana blockchain. The Wormhole bridge uses decentralized cross-chain oracles (i.e. guardians) operated by a set of node operators that include top Solana validators and other ecosystem stakeholders whose incentives are strongly aligned with Solana and Serum (Solana.com, May 2021).

> ***The Wormhole Bridge***

The Wormhole is a bidirectional decentralized ERC-20 / SPL token cross-chain bridge that enables existing assets such as FOUR to be moved seamlessly between Ethereum and Solana blockchain. According to Solana.com, the Wormhole is not a blockchain network, it uses the consensus of both chains it bridges, while guardians perform computation upon observing the on-chain events and sign Validator Action Approval resulting in the mint or burn process. The Bridge enables the cross-chain token bridging in both directions. The smart contract locks the ERC-20 FOUR sent from Ethereum, while the equivalent amount of FOUR SPL is minted on Solana. When the SPL FOUR needs to be bridged back to ERC-20 FOUR, the smart contract puts in an SPL FOUR burn request to the Bridge, and the ERC-20 FOUR are released from the reserves. This process ensures that the total and circulating token supply doesn’t change.

> ***Wormhole v1 & v2***

Due to the Wormhole bridge update from v1 to v2, SPL FOUR tokens that have been bridged from Ethereum to Solana using Wormhole v1 must be bridged back to Ethereum using Wormhole v1. After bridging back to Ethereum, the ERC20 FOUR tokens can be bridged back to Solana using Wormhole v2.

# Discord Server

Developed to support and grow the developer community, the 4P Discord acts as a one-stop shop and a future home of all project-related.

Here comes the 4P Discord Server. Developed to support and grow the developer community, the 4P Discord acts as a one-stop shop and a future home of all project-related. As with any new home, we will need your help making it warm and inviting to all new community members.

Sadly also Discord is plagued by scams and spam. Please follow the main safety guidelines;

> ⚠️ Don’t share your private keys with anyone.\
> ⚠️ Be suspicious of anyone asking for funds, wallet addresses, or private keys.\
> ⚠️ Team members will never ask for private keys or funds!\
> ⚠️ Team members will always have you DM them first!

### Start your journey in the Adoption-hub

This is where visionary, smart, and long-term oriented adopters come together to exchange addresses, share thoughts and ideas, and improve their community ranking. Here, you can find addresses to send on-chain messages and emails to.

We aim to foster genuine engagement and collaboration, focusing on true innovators and dedicated contributors. Join us and be part of the revolution!

{% embed url="<https://discord.gg/WaZZXeBhg4>" %}

### Unlock roles in certain levels

* Level 10 unlocks @💚 Close Friend role (whitelisted from 4P Official address, option to become an ambassador)
* Level 15 unlocks @🌌 chain4cer role (4P dApp official group access and points multiplier) and more...🤫

Check your rank here 🏆

### Closing Thoughts

In todays world of crypto everything is driven by incentives and rewards, 90% of people that interact with new technology, chains and dApps are airdrop farmers. It is destroying crypto as we know it. Not a single project without an airdrop… It is what it is but we think Web3 is much more than just incentives.

We will try to develop a community of people that genuinely care about technology and evolve along with it. We are here for the long haul, technology is here to stay and you can be part of it. Imagine witnessing the creation of the internet and the sending of the very first email — being here at the dawn of this project is exactly that. It’s revolutionary. With our on-chain communication technology and integrated decentralized storage we have a shot to make a difference. If the community (YOU) puts in effort, invests and contributes, we welcome everyone to be a part of the revolution/adoption. Let’s make it genuine.”

Our first step will be establishing a strong discord community that will be the central hub for our Early adopter program. Adopters will be exchanging addresses, thoughts, ideas and improve their community ranking. We don’t want farmers, we want visionary, smart and long-term oriented people. Unlocking new channels by engaging actively will give you an option to contribute to the 4thPillar project for a chance to earn even more $FOUR tokens — deserved tokens for a genuine contribution. Non-contributing people will be degraded as community members.

As there won’t be an official 4P address, you’ll need to partner with a buddy in the Discord to send on-chain messages and emails.
